Spring packages by Lidl

Here's how we prepared the spring packages:

I took the packages out of the freezer and placed them directly in the greased tray. I put them in the oven for 25 minutes, at 220 degrees.

I made sure to leave them until they were nicely browned and I turned them on the other side. At the end I took them out on a paper towel to absorb the excess fat.

I served them with the ready-made sauces.

Let's pack them once, spring!

This week we combine elements of Asian cuisine with the goodness of the fruit and bathe them in white chocolate sauce. That's because: LOVE is in the air, this month and it really feels. It's as if we love each other more, so much that we are more generous with those around us and make them partakers in a quick dessert full of vitamins. It's fascinating how you can get color and taste from these pure ingredients. I propose a healthy dessert that will give you a feeling of well-being and maximum energy. An explosion of flavors!

For 10 spring packages we used:

A few mint leaves

For the white chocolate sauce I used:

& # 8211 75 ml cream for whipping cream

& # 8211 150 grams of frozen cherries

First step

I started cutting the fruit. It remains at your discretion how thick and in what form:

Step 2

An extra fine and silky cream is prepared, only from white chocolate and natural cream for whipped cream. I melted 150 grams of white chocolate in a baine-marie together with 75 ml of liquid cream. I mixed with a whisk until I got a homogeneous composition. White chocolate should have a high cocoa butter content and not other hydrogenated vegetable fats, otherwise you risk it granulating, instead of melting:

Step 3

I prepared a deep plate of lukewarm water to soften the rice sheets. I passed each sheet of rice through the water, put it on a wooden bottom, placed a slice of different fruit and rolled the rice sheet like a wire, bending the ends and rolling. I also put some small mint leaves for a fresher twist:

Step 4

I love white chocolate in contrast to sour fruits so this time I took 150 grams of frozen cherries which I put in the blender. The result is a perfect border to mix with white chocolate sauce:

Cut the spring packets in half, place a healthy spoonful of white chocolate on the bottom of the plate, sprinkle with the frozen and crushed cherries and let yourself be carried away by the magic of tastes:

  • 1/4 finely chopped cabbage (ideally use Chinese cabbage)
  • 1 finely chopped red bell pepper
  • 1 carrot cut into fine sticks
  • 1 zucchini cut into thin sticks
  • 1 red onion cut into scales
  • 1 clove garlic cut into thin slices
  • 1/2 teaspoon finely grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon broccoli seeds (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • olive oil for baking spring packets
  • 1 tablespoon water mixed with flour / starch (optional its role is to bind the vegetable composition)
  • 1/2 pack of commercial pie sheets
  • salt (pepper, chili to taste)

Imperial spring packages

Is addictive! You can't stop at one! And the Vietnamese sauce and lettuce leaves give them freshness, becoming so light that you don't feel fried. Next project: fresh spring packages! Also Vietnamese.

Tip: find rice leaves, different types of Chinese mushrooms, bamboo shoots as well as other Asian and Selgros sauces.

Spring packages

One of the easiest recipes in Asian cuisine will help you prepare a light and fresh food. It will remind you of the wrapping of sarmalutes, but the result will be extremely tempting. Instead of pork you can use tofu or shrimp. And our advice is not to overdo it with ginger if you do not want to have a filling with a bitter taste.

Fry the diced pork in a non-stick pan, without oil, until browned. Drain the fat and set the meat aside.

In a bowl, combine pork, cabbage, carrots, onions, coriander, ginger, garlic, chili sauce and a tablespoon of oil. In another bowl mix 3 tablespoons of water with flour (or cornstarch if you have it).

Start rolling the rice sheets, after soaking them in hot water for 10-15 seconds. Put 1-2 tablespoons (depending on how big the sheet is) of each prepared pork filling on each sheet. Bring the bottom of the sheet over the filling, then cover with one of the sides, then the other. Wrap everything in the rest of the sheet, in a tight roll.

Grease each roll with the mixture of water and flour. Put the rolls in a single layer in a tray and grease with a little oil.

Bake them in the preheated oven at 220C / gas stage 7, for 20 minutes until lightly browned.

Serves with spicy Thai sauces.

Step 2
Soak a sheet of rice in a bowl of lukewarm water for approx. 10 sec., Then place the sheet on a flat plate.

In the center of the rice sheet we spread a teaspoon of spreadable pasta (optional), over which we add 2 slices of avocado, a few sprouts, parsley, a strip of onion and a pepper, etc., according to preference.

Step 4
We roll the package like a loaf of bread, being careful not to break the rice sheet.
We do the same with everything else.

We prepare the filling for the first time: we drain the vegetables from the jar, we heat a wok with 2 tablespoons of pistachio oil (I had it), you use sesame oil, if you have it. Put in the pan the finely chopped champignon mushrooms, the carrot put on the grater with small mesh and sliced green onions. Let everything simmer until the vegetables are fried and the juice is reduced. Add the drained vegetables from the jar, mix and continue frying for another 5-10 minutes. Season with soy sauce, Piri-Piri hot sauce, salt and pepper, sweet and sour sauce and be sure to taste to your taste.

For assembly: prepare a bowl of hot water on the work table, in which you will immerse the rice sheets for about 30 seconds. You will realize how long it is enough to hold them when working with them, they become soft and easy to roll.

After soaking the rice sheet, I placed it on a clean, damp kitchen towel, put a spoonful of filling at the base of the sheets, rolled, gathered the ends and continued rolling until the end. Do the same with the rest until we finish the composition. When we finish them all, we fry them in palm oil until they are browned on all sides. I served it with a salad and cherry tomatoes and a slightly spicy sweet and sour sauce. A guaranteed delight.
